HIB Information for Parents, Students & Visitors

The Lawrence Township Public Schools has recently adopted a new policy for Harassment, Intimidation, or Bullying (includes Cyberbullying) in our schools. The administrative team, faculty and staff are committed to providing our students with a positive environment where everyone feels safe, accepted, and valued.

We all can remember times when you or others were bullied when we attended school, and we can all agree that bullying is not a brand-new problem.

What’s new is our attitude towards it. We know now that bullying is serious.  Young bullies can grow up to be abusive adults.  Young victims get hurt.  In very rare cases, bullying escalates into violence.  It’s not just the bullies and victims who are affected.  People around them are distracted, intimidated, and upset.  Bullying in the classroom prevents students from learning and teachers from teaching.

The Parent-Student Handbook (located below) and the attached video are provided to shed greater insight into the new law, our policy and reporting procedures.
